LIBRARY

The College has a big library available for students & Staff. It has a collection of more than three thousands books, containing tech. text books, reference books, general & religious books and encyclopedias etc. Daily news papers in Urdu are also available to student & Staff. Rules & regulations regarding issue / return of books etc. are available in the library.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Students are provided opportunities to participate in Co-Curricular activities, such as sports, debates, exhibitions, etc. the college has the facilities/grounds for playing cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, etc.

Besides extensive academic activities, students must have the opportunity to develop and enhance their qualities regarding leadership qualities and literary skills etc. Different activities under societies made for the purpose are arranged for students undue the guidance of teacher to achieve the above objectives.

INDUSTRIAL & FIELD VISITS

The students go on field study & trips during their period of study at the college. The Purpose of these trips is to get the students acquainted with conditions in the field which they will be entering soon.

Career Guidance and Job Placement Center provides an extensive set of services focused on assisting students, in the career planning process. These services aid the comprehensive identification and promotion of the expertise and values that GPI students acquire from the academic environment.

INSTITUTE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Institute Management Committee is a Public Private Partnership constituted as advisory committee for a TEVT Institute, in order to ensure that the TEVT delivery is in accordance with the need of the employer.

To make TVET delivery more responsive to the demands of the employers and to ensure that the TEVT programs are demand driven, cost effective & should lead to employment (self & paid) or further enhancement of skills, by networking with employers on Public Private Partnership arrangements.

COMPOSITION OF COMMITTEE

The Institute Management Committee shall comprise of 8 to 10 members (including its Chairperson and the Secretary) of which 50% will be Employers representatives including its Chairperson; at least 10% Workers representatives / reputable NGO representatives and 40% Government representatives including Principal as Member Secretary.

INSTITUTE ACADEMIC COUNCIL

The institute has an academic council consisting of all heads of various departments, Chief Proctor, Controller of exams (Local), headed by the Principal. Beside regular academic activities, the Council has the right to punish/expel, students in case of any offence or illegal activities. The expulsion may be permanent or temporary.

TUTORIALS

The Institute has a system of tutorial groups functioning once a week in the guidance of a teacher for each class. Students are freely allowed to discuss their problems beside literally and academic activities.
