GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

LEAVE:

            The student must take prior permission from their respective H.O.D in case of leave. Emergency leaves can be sanctioned afterward on proper grounds. Sick leave may have a medical certificate from a medical Officer of Govt: Dispensary / Hospital. The rules and regulation of examination are available with the board of Technical Education Peshawar.

 

STUDENT IDENTITY CARD:

            Every student should have I.D card issued to him by the institute. In case of loss of card the student has to present press cutting in this regard and an undertaking on stamp paper Rs. 30/- Duplicate card will be issued on the payment of Rs. 100/- I.D card should be returned on the completion of Course, otherwise security of the concerned student will be forfeited.

BOARD EXAMINATION:

            The rules and regulations of examination are available with the Board of Technical Education Peshawar.

 

FINE:

            One day fine Rs 10/= for habitual absentee Rs 20/= Fine along with Readmission fee Rs.1100/-

RULES AND REGULATIONS

MIGRATIONS:

1              Migration is absolutely not allowed in 1st year.

2              Inter Provisional Migration is not allowed.

3              Migration from Private institutes is not allowed.

4              Migration for change of technology is not allowed.

5              A student will be allowed migration only when his parents are transferred to Mansehra or adopter permanent domicile at Mansehra.

6              Migration of 2nd Shift to 2nd Shift in 2nd year & 3rd year is allowed subject to availability of seats.

7              Migration will only be granted on mutual permission of relevant Principle.

8              On Migration the student will deposit all fee and funds against at institute where migrate.

COLLEGE SECURITY:

1              Refund of security is allowed to all students after completion of course with in two years (after completion) after that it will be forfeited towards college.

CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE REGULATION

  1. 1. TITLE: These regulations are framed under “Act 1989” of the Govt of NWFP. These regulations shall apply to all the students on roll in the college.

 

  1. 2. STUDENTS CODE OF HONOUR:
  2. Every student shall observe the following code of conduct:
  3. Faithfulness towards his religion and respect for conviction of other.
  4. Loyalty to Pakistan & Refraining from doing any thing which might lower its honor and prestige in any way.
  5. Truthfulness and honesty in dealing with other people.
  6. Respect for all others.
  7. Respect for teachers and all others in the college.
  8. Cleanliness of body, mind, speech and habits.
  9. Protection of public and Private Property.
  10. PROHIBITED ACT:

The student should refrain from:-

  1. Smoking, use of drugs, Alcohal etc, in the class rooms, Exam hall, labs, Workshops, Hostel, in the college premises, tours, survey, camps etc.
  2. Organizing or taking part in any function with in the college campus or hostel or organizing any club, society, union, association, federation except in accordance with the prescribed rules & regulations.
  3. Collecting any money, receiving funds except with the written permission of the Principal.
  4. Staging inciting or participating in any walkout strike or agitation against the college, or its teachers disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the college, doing anything in any way to promote rift and hatred among various groups or castes of student community, using press making false accusations wall chalking, poster etc.
  5. Bringing carrying and keeping of fire arms or any other weapons (of any nature/type) forbidden by law in the college, class rooms, hostel, offices, and cafeteria.
  6. Causing damage to public property.
  7. Using loud speakers, megaphones desks in the college/hostels.
  8. ACT OF INDISCIPLINE:

A student who disobeys he lawful order of a teacher or other persons in authority in the college. Habitually neglects his work or habitually absents himself from the class.

  1. Willfully damages college or public property or the property of a fellow student or any teacher or any employee of the college.
  2. Does not pay fees, fines or other dues payable under the rules.
  3. PROCEDURE IN CASE OF BREACH OF DISCIPLINE.

                The Principle on the recommendation of the college council may take action as:

  1. RUSTICATION:
  2. Rustication whenever imposed on a student shall always mean the loss of the one academic year.
  3. He may be admitted on expiry of the period.
  4. No fee will be charged for the period of rustication.
  5. EXPULSION:
  6. The Period of expulsion will be counted from the date of issue of notice by the college.
  7. Name of the expelled student will immediately be removed from the college roll and no fee will be charged for the subsequent months.
  8. A student expelled may be readmitted in to the college or another affiliated college after expiry of the expulsion period.
  9. Case of expulsion will be notified to all department and offices.

III.       GENERAL:

  1. Rustication may be withdrawn by the same authority before the expiry period.
  2. Show cause notice to this effect shall be served with a reasonable time for explanation and reply.
  3. APPEAL:

            An appeal against the punishment awarded by the authorities shall lie to the appellate committee. The appeal by the student should be with in thirty days after that no appeal will be entertained.

NOTE

Penalties which may be imposed:

            Offence:

  1. Misbehaving, Non-Cooperating with Teacher, Chief Proctor, Hostel Warden.
  2. Indiscipline in the library.
  3. Indiscipline/Misbehave in games or sport, etc inside/outside the ground.

                Chief Procter, Class Proctor & Student Proctor are responsible for keeping peace, discipline, Uniform, Checking etc. in the college. Any major/minor incident may be immediately reported to the Principal for appropriate measure.

PENALTY: Fine of Rs. 500/- and removal from Class by teacher with a report to HOD & Principal.  Fine of Rs. 1000/- to 2000/- and report to the Principal.

Fine of Rs. 100/- or withdrawal from the game by DPE.

ATTENDANCE RULES

  1. A candidate have completed over all attendance of 75% in all subjects.
  2. The principal may condone over all attendance up to 10% shortage of attendance on the basis of grounds produced him / her for his / her satisfaction.
  3. I) If a candidate is short of the required percentage of attendance to the time of submission of admission form and fee to the board but is likely to make up the shortage in due course to time, the Head of institution may send his admission form and fee provisionally to the board subject confirmation when the candidate actually makes up the shortage, the Principal of institution shall withdraw his candidature by writing to the controller of examination not later than the 15th day before the commencement of the examination.

(ii)           The principal will not send the Examination forms of the candidates having less than 65% attendance.

  1. No examination form or fee shall be accepted unless it is routed through the Principal concerned.
  2. Attendance shall be counted on the basis of total number of contact hours, theory and Practical, for which the classes were actually held during an academic session.
  3. If a candidate is officially sent to take part in some extra curricular activities, his / her percentage of attendance will be counted on the basis of total attendance including the lessons / practical missed during the authorized absence.
  4. The detailed record of the attendance shall be produced for inspection to the board or on inspection of senior officers as and when required.

Special Chance.  No special chance shall be given to any candidate under any circumstances after he / she has availed the prescribed total number of twelve (12) chances from the date of his / her registration.

Admission of Another Diploma Course Technology.

After having qualified for the award of diploma of Associate Engineering in one technology, admission for second Diploma in another course / Technology is not allowed in regular program.

Improvement of Division / Grade.

  • A student of DAE can improve his her grade / Division / marks within one year after passing DAE examination.
  • He / She will be allowed to re-appear in maximum any 03 (three) subjects of his / her choice theory component only from the whole course of DAE for improvement of division / marks.
  • In case a student does not improve the marks in any of the three subjects his / her old posting will be carried out.
  • If a student wants to re-appear in more than three (03)subjects. He / she has to re-appear in all the subject of his / her technology theory components.

Grace Marks Policy

The Grace marks will be awarded to only those candidate who have already appeared in Third (3rd) year examination.

  • Grace marks will be reduced form 1% to 0.5%.
  • 5% marks will be calculated excluding practical / sessional marks on the basis of aggregate marks of 1st, 2nd & 3rd year of each technology.
  • Grace marks as above will not awarded in more than two subjects.
  • Not more than six (6) Grace marks will be awarded in one subject.
  • Grace marks will not be awarded in Practical.
  • Grace marks will not be awarded to those candidates who are improving marks / Grade / Division.
