INTRODUCTION

Civil Technology deals with planning, designing, execution, operation, and maintenance of civil engineering projects (buildings, dams, railways, airports, roads, etc.). Civil Technology is considered as the mother of all technologies as it is the process of directing and controlling natural resources for the use and benefit of humanity through the construction of various projects.

Civil Technology department of GPI Mansehra is a well-established department comprising of well-furnished classrooms and well-equipped laboratories, currently offering three years Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) since 2007.

The curriculum emphasizes subjects of Civil Drafting, Surveying, Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, structures, irrigation, Soil Mechanics, transportation engineering, public health, environmental engineering and hydraulics. These courses include both theoretical and practical work.

In addition to course work, the final year students required to work on a project under the guidance of faculty members. Study tours and extra lectures are also arranged during the session for the benefit of the students.
