Government Polytechnic Institute Mansehra is a single Polytechnic institute in public sector in District Mansehra which is working under the administrative control of KPTEVTA previously named as Directorate of Technical Education and Manpower Training Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar Department of Industries Commerce and Technical Education. The institute is situated about 1.5 Kilometer from Punjab Chowk, Mansehra on Khawari Road Mansehra. This institute was started in 1995 in a very limited accommodation of Govt: High School Dhodial Mansehra. After the establishment of Hazara University in 2001, this institute was shifted to accommodation where Govt: Technical & Vocation Centre was also working. In that campus both the institute i.e GTVC and GPI impart Technical Education at their own level. GTVC provides skilled labor training whereas GPI produces Associate Engineer diploma.
OUR OBJECTIVES
District Mansehra is a very thick populated and economically backward district of the province. Almost there is no industry in this district. Job opportunities are not available for un-skilled and non-technical qualified youth. The objectives of the Institute are.
- To provide demand driven industry specific skills in technical trades.
- To assess the training needs in the context of domestic and global market
- To develop linkages with the industry for IMC, training and assessment for the quality of education.
- To organize opportunities for the continuous training of the faculty and staff of the institutes.
- To organize and conduct seminars and workshops in order to provide the updated knowledge to the trainees in their respective fields.
- To focus on the character building of trainees as to play vital role in the development of society.
